Finally made it to Joshua Tree, I've been meaning to go for a long time, not only was it the perfect weekend because it was my birthday but also because we were the first guests to stay in the brand spanking new, The Joshua Tree Casita. The Casita is an Airbnb from Sara + Rich Combs, the fine folks, of The Joshua Tree House. The Casita is a 1958 home located, deep in the desert of Joshua Tree, California, Where one can enjoy the desert calm and starry skies. The Combs did an outstanding job on The Casita, it is wonderfully decorated with fun flea market finds, indie designers and beloved mainstream brands. The Casita also has a record player supplied with cool tunes, a guitar, a hammock, a beautiful landscape and a hot tub! SO MUCH FUN!
The beloved hammock where I played guitar, I mean this Casita actually has it's own guitar!! Photo by The Joshua Tree House
We had the best experience riding through the desert just as we were pulling up to The Casita, the magic sound of Pink Floyd played on the radio and filled the quiet desert skies at sunset. The Sky was pink, The Casita was pink, and Pink Floyd was playing, it was a total Pink Cloud experience my friends ;)
The Casita was completely RE-DONE, let's just say there were some crazy color schemes and an insane amount of closets , before the renovations and beautiful desert tones! Enjoy the before pictures here :) It's a hoot! Sara + Rich did an awesome job, renovating and decorating the space with finds from local designers, artists, flea markets and mixed in their favorite brands for the perfect desert vibe. You can find items from The House + Casita on their website. Shop beloved indie labels such as APPRVL, Wilder California, Tribe & True and yours truly LassoAbode mixed in with brands Schoolhouse Electric and West Elm to name a few. Check out the shopand get The Casita style! How cool is that?!

I had a blast at The Casita chilling in the hammock, playing on the house guitar, listening to their cool ass records which included Willie Nelson and Fleetwood Mac! I also got to hang with Sara + Rich, who were staying next door at The Hacienda. Such a fun and cool couple, I enjoyed chatting with them by the campfire and roasting marshmallows for our smores. Livin' the dream my friends! Such a lovely and inspiring couple and I couldn't think of a better way to spend my birthday weekend!
